Well, I am officially *not* pregnant. We started trying for baby #2 in May and so far, it is a no-go. I don't know why I expected it to happen right away... It took about 5 months to get pregnant with Braden. As it is, Braden will be 3 in September and I don't want to have a huge gap between kids. Oh well. God is in control and it isn't up to me. I need to keep repeating that to myself.
I have an appointment with a physical therapist on Friday for my back. I have been having lower back issues for about 2 months now, which is pretty strange for a 26 year old. My doctor says she wants me to start seeing someone a few times a week for a couple months to get things straightened out. I am really looking forward to not having so much back pain.
Jeremy just got home yesterday from his all-guys camping weekend. It was so nice to have him home last night. I missed him a lot. I stayed at my mom's and we pretty much shopped all weekend. Needless to say I needed to make a few returns today. My husband and checking account will thank me for that!
I have a Stampin' Up! party on Saturday that I am really looking forward to. The new catalog goes "live" on Thursday and I will be showing some new products from my pre-order. On Sunday Braden and I are going to a wedding for a family friend (Jeremy has to work since it is the 4th). Let us not forget that Eclipse comes out this week! We have a date on Friday night to see it and have dinner. My sister is taking Braden for the evening.
Well, off to wake Braden from his nap and head to the splash pad! It is super nice out today!

Why I need this blog...
My little guy, Braden, will be 3 this fall. I am quickly coming to the realization that he is no longer a baby and that I need to be better about documenting the little things he does that I don't want to forget. I also thought that others might want to be up-to-date on our family, so a blog is perfect!
Braden is a typical 2 1/2yr old. Very stubborn and independent, but he is also sweet and loving. Here are some things that I have been meaning to write down about him:
Braden is a typical 2 1/2yr old. Very stubborn and independent, but he is also sweet and loving. Here are some things that I have been meaning to write down about him:
- His two favorite songs are "Jesus Loves Me" and "Twinkle Twinkle". He tells me he wants to sing them by saying "Cheezus?" "Oinkle?". Soooo cute. After he gets done singing his songs he always says "Thank you, thank you!" like he just gave the performance of a lifetime. I am pretty sure he heard it on Sesame Street, but it is so darn funny.
- Every night we have a pretty standard bedtime routine that includes reading two books, we sing "Cheezus" and "Oinkle", and then he always asks to pray. After we pray I kiss him goodnight and he will ask to kiss me on the cheek. He then kisses me on one cheek and turns my head ever so gently to kiss the other. Must be the French in him.
- He is obsessed with anything and everything Toy Story (at least right now- Elmo and Mickey still hold a special place in his heart). It doesn't help that Toy Story 3 is going to be out soon and the stores are filled with reminders. He asks on a daily basis (usually several times a day) if he can watch "Buzz". For the longest time he wouldn't call Woody "Woody". He was simply "Hat".
- Other words that are pretty funny: milk-"ilk", snack- "ack", Grandma- "Gamma", I wont write what he calls a truck, but I am sure you can guess (kind of embarrassing actually), Poop- "pop" (this can be confusing because he does say pop for pop, too), any and all writing utensils are "colors", Casper (my mother-in-laws dog) is "Copper", and sheep are simply "baa". He refuses to say sheep- we've been working on it for months.
- Of course he has his 2 year old moments: screaming in the grocery store, not allowing us to help him with anything, and giant tantrums when he's over-tired.
